LifeGroups

E3 LifeGroups logo

LifeGroups are the place where making friends and growing in God happen at the same time!

We encourage anyone who calls E3 their home to get plugged in and connected in a LifeGroup. We’ve made it easy to get connected by offering lots of LifeGroups from which to choose. You’ll be able to study God’s Word and talk about the issues and challenges of life with people just like you. Real people in real situations enjoying life together - that’s what LifeGroups are all about!

Our fall Lifegroup sign ups will begin in August.

If you have any questions about LifeGroups or would like help choosing which LifeGroup is best for you, please contact Pastor Margaret Foltz at margaret@e3scottsdale.com or 480.368.0888.

LifeGroup FAQ’s

How Important Are LifeGroups?

We consider Lifegroups to be the hub of our ministry. They are the place where the real life of the church takes place as we encourage, support, and challenge one another. God doesn’t want any of us to be left to walk alone — we need each other.

What Is a LifeGroup?

Lifegroups consist of 3 or more people gathered to provide an environment for life transformation through the development of authentic relationships.

How Long Does a Group Last?

LifeGroup semesters are usually from 6-10 weeks from September through May, with several weeks break in between semesters. Throughout the summer, LifeGroup members take the opportunity to interact informally with one another for lunch, dinner, swimming or even attend a sports event or movie together.

Which Group Should I Join?

We suggest you visit several of the LifeGroups and decide which group best fits where you are in life. We’ve found that a group works best when you share common interests, backgrounds, marital status or similar aged children. Sometimes it might take two or three groups before you find the perfect fit.

What Is The Required Commitment?

There really is no required commitment for LifeGroup attendance. However, we have found that building relationship takes time.

What About Childcare?

Each LifeGroup is differing in their structure. Some LifeGroups have special activities for small children and others are focused more on adult needs. We leave it up to each LifeGroup to work out its own childcare. Sometimes it works best for families to share a sitter or to swap childcare with another family whose group meets on a different evening or time.

What Will We Study?

A couple times a year we have a spiritual growth emphasis and we study topics that are relevant to where E3 church is as a body of believers.

How Do I Sign Up?

An emphasis for sign-up occurs before the beginning of each LifeGroup semester. You’ll have the opportunity to sign-up online for the LifeGroup that best suits your needs.

When and Where Do These Groups Meet?

Our LifeGroups meet on various nights of the week in homes throughout the Scottsdale area.

Can Anyone Lead a LifeGroup?

LifeGroup leaders are special people who care about others and are able to create a safe environment where friendship and spiritual growth can take place. If you think this describes you and you would like to know more about leading a LifeGroup, please contact Pastor Margaret Foltz at margaret@e3scottsdale.com and she will be happy to discuss this opportunity with you and help you get started in this rewarding and fun ministry of E3 Church.
