Next Steps

One of our main passions at E3 Scottsdale is to see lives elevated.

Jesus said that he came to give us the best possible life (John 10:10), and we are excited that you are ready to taking the next step towards that kind of life.

On this journey, there are several milestones that mark the way:

1. Salvation

Have you accepted Jesus’ free gift of grace and become a follower of Christ? This is the very first step.

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)

That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

2. Baptism

An outward sign of the inward change, water baptism is a very meaningful milestone in the life of a believer.

3. Getting together on a regular basis with other Christ-followers

Make a commitment to consistent church attendance and fellowship with other believers. We invite you to attend the next Connection Lunch to find out more.

Other ways to develop yourself: Focus on 5 and join a LifeGroup.

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:23-25)

4. Committing to a church family

Church membership is a lot like marriage. It’s often referred to as a covenant: a two-way commitment in which both sides agree to give something. We invite you to attend the next Starting Point membership class to find out more.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. … All the believers were together and had everything in common. … Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2:42, 44, 46-47)

5. Serving in your local church

Get involved! There are many opportunities to serve at E3 Scottsdale. Giving of your time and talents not only benefits those you serve – whether you’re in the nursery, ushering, greeting at the front door or running the lights – but you also will benefit from doing what you were created to do!

From [Christ] the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. (Ephesians 4:16)

6. Reaching out into your community and the world

There are so many opportunities, both local and global, to reach people who don’t know Jesus yet.

[Jesus] said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.” (Mark 16:15)

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!” (Romans 10:14-15)

Then the righteous will answer him, “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?”

The King will reply, “I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:37-40)
